Alpha & Omega Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as AOS) was founded in September 2000 and completed its IPO on the NASDAQ in April 2010 under the ticker symbol AOSL. Headquartered in Silicon Valley, California, the United States, it is a world-leading high-tech enterprise engaged in the R&D and production of power semiconductors, integrating semiconductor design, wafer fabrication, and packaging and testing into a single integrated operation. By 2023, the company had a global workforce of more than 2,400 employees, with its core product portfolio covering a full range of Power MOSFETs, IGBTs, IPMs, TVSs, SiC devices, Power ICs, high-voltage gate drivers, and digital power product lines.
 
As of September 2023, AOS held 1,909 granted patents and 161 pending patents worldwide. Endowed with industry-unique Power MOSFET technologies, the company consistently launches innovative products, expands its market share and achieves rapid growth in the sector, enabling it to meet the increasingly complex power requirements of advanced electronic products.
 
Currently, AOS has built a global network for R&D, production and business operations, including R&D centers in the United States, Taiwan (China) and South Korea, an 8-inch wafer fab in Oregon, the United States, a packaging and testing plant in Songjiang District, Shanghai, and China's first 12-inch wafer fab and packaging & testing facility for power devices, a project developed in cooperation with the Chongqing municipal government. Led by CEO Junping Zhang, AOS has entered a phase of rapid development and emerged as a major player in the global power semiconductor market.
